We're excited to announce that MRPR has made Crain's 2018 list of Cool Places to Work in Michigan. MRPR ranks 78 among 100 companies recognized by their employees for having outstanding workplace culture. Also a big shout out to our clients at New Eagle, for making the list as well!

So what makes MRPR a cool place to work? In a word, balance. We're not trying to be one of the Big Four accounting firms --we're happy with who we are. We have created a culture that promotes work-life balance that keeps our employee turn over rate low.

Our younger employees, many of whom are juggling their first or second year on the job while trying to pass the CPA exam, appreciate that their workload still allows them time to study. They tell us that having a team principal as their personal mentor has helped them climb the learning curve and show up with confidence.

But what really sets MRPR apart is that we like to have fun. Not everyone expects that from an accounting firm-- and certainly no one would expect it during tax season. But it's true.

To let off steam during tax time, we compete in "Minute to Win It" challenges where teams vie for a coveted championship. The winning team gets a paid team lunch as well as bragging rights until the next champion is crowned. And the day after tax season ends - we close the office so everyone can take a paid day off to unwind.

We're also excited that our team is growing. We are actively looking for accounting and tax associates as well as a few experienced hires to fill positions.
